Transfer and mansion taxes
Michigan charges a state real estate transfer tax of $3.75 per $500 of value (0.75 percent) plus a county transfer tax of $0.55 per $500 (0.11 percent), for a combined 0.86 percent that is customarily paid by the seller. Source
